About the programme

Built a company. Built a championship. Same partnership.

Rey Acosta and Custodio Toledo co-founded a financial technology company together, grew it into a global platform, merged it with Black Mountain Systems to form Allvue, and then took that same partnership to the racetrack. Octa Racing is what happens when two entrepreneurs apply the same rigour to motorsport they brought to building a business backed by Vista Equity Partners.

The partnership

Rey Acosta (Miami) and Custodio Toledo (São Paulo) have been business partners for nearly two decades. In 2008 they co-founded AltaReturn, a cloud-based technology platform for private capital and family office fund managers. Rey ran the business — strategy, clients, growth. Custodio ran the technology — product, architecture, engineering.

Over the next eleven years they scaled AltaReturn into a multi-solution platform used by over 275 GPs and family offices representing hundreds of billions of dollars in assets. In 2019 they merged the company with Black Mountain Systems to form Allvue, backed by Vista Equity Partners — one of the world's premier software investors. Rey became CEO of the combined entity; Custodio served as CTO, Private Equity.

They built a company together. And while they were building it, they found motorsport — starting with track days, progressing through Ferrari's Corso Pilota programme, and eventually competing in Ferrari Challenge. Within a few seasons they weren't just enthusiasts any more. They were winning.

Octa Racing is the natural next chapter: the same partnership that built a global fintech platform, now applied to building the commercial infrastructure around two Ferrari 296 GT3 endurance racing programmes. Same two people. Same rigour. Different arena.

How we operate

Octa Racing applies the same discipline to sponsorship that Rey and Custodio applied to building a private equity software company. Every commercial claim is supported by official series and manufacturer records. There are no "brand impressions" modelled from third-party estimates — there are positions, screen-time measurements, broadcast schedules, and verifiable finish data from Ferrari Corse Clienti, IMSA, the ACO, SRO, and DriverDB.

Partners don't buy exposure — they buy a defined set of assets, rights, and access that Octa Racing packages, prices, and delivers. The difference matters. A livery position is not a promise; it's a surface on a car that races. A hospitality programme is not a concept; it's a guest list and a schedule.

A single driver programme is a gamble — a driver gets injured, misses races, or has a bad season and the sponsor's return collapses. But two drivers with complementary calendars, strengths, and audiences create something a single-driver deal cannot: resilience, redundancy, and reach that compounds rather than cancels. Partners get two programmes under one agreement.
